The RCS-9700 Electrical Control System is based on a large scale of object-oriented software platform, to realize hierarchical distributed control functions via Ethernet, including protection, measurement and monitoring.

The RCS-9700 series ECS system is a cost effective auxiliary BCU of a DCS system for the power plant electrical system. It provides high performance bay control for the auxiliary system in power plant, such as start-up/stand-by transformers, auxiliary transformers, DC power supply system and other intelligent devices. The system adopts bay-oriented and object-oriented configuration with layered distributed architecture to replace the traditional centralized structure, and this makes the system more reliable, easier to extend and maintain.

The integrated design and practice in the RCS-9700 considerably reduce the cost of multiple stand-along devices. Furthermore, direct connection between the bay-level devices and the dual Ethernet networks can enhance reliability of the ECS system.
