After China's 750kV AC transmission system has been successfully put into service for more than one year, in which NR's protection relays are used, China is now starting the 1000kV AC transmission system, the highest voltage level in China. NR has signed the contract with State Power Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), the largest utility in China, to supply the automation system, transformer protection, transmission line protection and circuit breaker protection (No busbar exists at the first period) for the first 1000kV transmission project in China. It indicates that NR possesses the core technologies for Ultra High Voltage (UHV) protection. Now the project is under construction.
